It will scan your itunes library and your ipod and tell you which songs are on your ipod but not in your itunes library. You can then choose which songs and videos you want to copy to your computer and add them to itunes. It is safe with no spyware or anything.

If you are going to use your ipod on several computers then just dont sync. You just drag and drop the songs and playlists you want onto your ipod from itunes. If you want to delete a song then you just right click that song in your ipod and delete it.
